2956344 - Error while re-sending email - Onboarding

Symptom

When trying to resend email in Email Service, system throws an error "Failed to execute RetriggerEmail command".

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Email Services > Email Status
  2. Attempt to resend any email
  3. Error appears

Resolution

Search Splunk to confirm.

Check if you can find error as below:

Failed to execute RetriggerEmail command
com.successfactors.sca.ServiceApplicationException: TO: Recipient is resolved to null or empty for activityId null and activityType : null

If so, as per the current design, the email address which can be used to send out the email must be associated to a valid user in the system. Check and confirm that all recipient email Ids given are related to valid active users

Check whether the email address was changed to a dummy one. If so, please change the email to the one provided in the notification and then it should work.

Once onboardee became active employee, the valid email is the one in UDF.

Normally it becomes the business email.

And that is the reason you are not able to resend email to his/her personal email any more.
