2956592 - APS crashes after SIA restart - may go into failed state

Symptom

  • After restarting the Server Intelligence Agent (SIA), the Adaptive Processing Server (APS) will crash, after it crashes 5 times, it will go into a failed state, and not attempt to restart itself.
  • In the default (assert) level APS logs, the following error may be seen:
    Failed to create the temp directory. Due to the following exception: while trying to get the length of a null array loaded from local variable 'files'
    Server will exit.
