2956910 - Buttons and labels configured in Route Map are not applied to the Add Modifier step - Recruiting Management

Symptom

If we add a Modifier by clicking the Add Modifier button in the job requisition, a specific step for the added user is created in the route map details. When the modifier sees the button labels, they are not the ones configured in Manage Route Maps.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Recruiting
  2. Create a new job requisition
  3. Click on "Add Modifier" and add a user to be the modifier
  4. Notice that an additional step is added with the user's name
  5. When the user's step arrive, proxy as the user
  6. Open the job requisition proxying as the user
  7. See that the button labels, like the Step Exit button are not as configured in Manage Route Maps to any of the steps

Cause

This is a system behavior.

Resolution

What happens is that the step added is a custom step that was not defined in the Route Map previously, which means that it's not possible to configure before hand how the button will be displayed through Manage Route Maps.

It's possible to change the labels of these buttons in two ways:

  1. Using Manage Languages feature.
The details of how to use this feature and change the labels are described in this KBA 2576546 - Manage Language Feature | How to change labels in SuccessFactors?

  2. Use the feature "Modify Form Route Map"
This feature will allow you to change the button labels for the buttons for the specific extra step for the modified.
IMPORTANT: This will need to be done to each job requisition that has a modifier, and to each modifier step added in the job requisition, and each time one is added.

NOTES: If you choose the second option, it's important to mention that if you choose to search the requisition by Employee, you will only be able to search for the people that are originally part of the route map, you won't be able to search the forms with the modifiers. Example: if User A and B are part of the route map by default, but they add modifier C, you will only be able to change the labels by searchin the forms with User A and B. Also, there isn't a way to filter the forms by it being job requisitions. Each form that is assigned with the user will be displayed.
