2957003 - Goods and Service Receipt created by user even though user has no access rights to Goods receipts work center

An user with no access to Goods and Services Receipts' work center is able to create Goods and Services Receipts.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Enter the system with the user that does not have access to Goods and Services Receipts' work center.
2. Go to Home work center.
3. Go to Self-Services Overview view.
4. Click in the link: Track my Shopping Carts.
5. Filter by 'Shopping Carts - Completed'.
6. Open shopping cart ABC (ABC is the Shopping cart's ID).
7. Click in View All button.
8. Click in Receipts and Returns button. 
9. Click in New Return button. 
10. Click in Post button.

You didn't expect the user to be able to create or post the Goods document.

Also the steps to check the user's Access and Restrictions:

1. Go to Application user management work center.
2. Go to Business users view. 
3. Search for the user.
4. Click in Edit button and select Access Rights.
5. Navigate to Work Center and View Assignment tab. 

You can see that the work center SRM_GOODSSERVICERECEIPTS is not assigned to this user.

I noticed that the issue you are experiencing is related to a Business Configuration scoping option for Shopping Carts. In your system, the question 'Do you want to allow your employees to confirm the receipt of goods or the completion of services?' is checked under Decentralized Goods and Services Receipts.

Once the flag is set for this scoping question, the functionality will be enabled. So the employees will be able to confirm deliveries despite not having the work center SRM_GOODSSERVICERECEIPTS assigned to the user.

To prevent employees from accessing Good and Services receipt via Shopping cart, the BC scoping question needs to be descoped. You can do it by following the steps below:

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to Implementation Projects view.
3. Click in Edit Project Scope button.
4. Click in Next button until reach step 4 'Questions'.
5. Expand Purchasing.
6. Expand Self-Service Procurement.
7. Select Shopping Carts.
8. Uncheck the flag for the question "Do you want to allow your employees to confirm the receipt of goods or the completion of services?".
9. Save it.
