2957003 - Goods and Service Receipt created by user even though user has no access rights to Goods receipts work center

You want to know why and how an user with no access to create Goods receipt could create the document.

Go to Application user management work center

go to Business users

Select a user

go to access rights

go to work center view and assignment tab

where SRM_Goods receipts is not check marked

The reason behind this is because of a BC scoping option in Shopping Carts.

Under Decentralized Goods and Services Receipts the question 'Do you want to allow your employees to confirm the receipt of goods or the completion of services?' is checked in your system.

Once the flag is set, the functionality will be enabled and employees will be able to confirm deliveries despite not having SRM_Goods receipt access assigned to the user.

To prevent employees from accessing Good and Services receipt via Shopping cart, BC scoping question needs to be descoped:

Steps to disable the scoping question to activate the button:

Go to the Business Configuration work center.
Go to the Implementation Projects view.
Select Edit Project Scope button.
Navigate to step 4 Questions.
Drill down Purchasing > Self-Service Procurement > Shopping Carts.

Under Decentralized Goods and Services Receipts the question Do you want to allow your employees to confirm the receipt of goods or the completion of services? is in scope and hence enabled.

Once the flag is unchecked, the functionality will be disabled.
