2957501 - An error has occurred during communication with ESR

You have an ABAP backend system acting as a sender or receiver XI proxy.

You try to connect the ABAP Proxy Generation tool SPROXY in this ABAP backend system to a PI/PO system's Enterprise Services Repository via the SM59 destination SAP_PROXY_ESR.

The error "An error has occurred during communication with ESR" occurs when you execute transaction code SPROXY.

When check the results of following programs by executing transaction code SE38, you can get the corresponding results as below.
SPROX_CHECK_IFR_CONNECTION -> Enterprise Services Builder data not understood
SPROX_CHECK_IFR_ADDRESS -> Cannot determine Repository Version, An error has occurred during communication with ESR
SPROX_CHECK_IFR_RESPONSE -> Requested Repository is down., An error has occurred during communication with ESR
SPROX_CHECK_HTTP_COMMUNICATION -> HTTP communication functioning
