2958208 - Is it possible to completely delete an application from a job requisition? - Recruiting Management

Symptom

This article covers the feasibility of completely deleting a candidate application from a job requisition.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Reproducing the Issue

Possible reasons for that requirement are:

  • Applicant no longer wishes to continue with the application process.
  • Applicant has been disqualified from a position, thus the application is no longer relevant to the company.
  • The application was created for testing purposes and it is important to have it entirely removed from the system, so it won't affect reporting data.

Resolution

The SuccessFactors RCM system has not been designed with a functionality that will completely remove an application from a job requisition, as if that person never applied to that job. It is possible to purge application data, so some pieces of information will be anonymized (like name, addresses and other personal info) so we may no longer relate that application to the actual candidate. Nevertheless, even the purge would not remove the application from that requisition. The history that someone applied to that job will always be there.
Note: Whether for mass or single application, currently it is not possible to perform a fully removal of Application from a Job Requisition.
