2958208 - Is it possible to completely delete an application from a job requisition? - Recruiting Management

This article covers the feasibility of completely deleting a candidate application from a job requisition.

Possible reasons for that requirement are:

• Applicant no longer wishes to continue with the application process.
• Applicant has been disqualified from a position, thus the application is no longer relevant to the company.
• The application was created for testing purposes and it is important to have it entirely removed from the system, so it won't affect reporting data.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management does not provide a feature to completely remove an application from a Job Requisition as though the candidate had never applied.

While application data can be purged through Data Retention Management, the purge process only anonymizes personal information, such as the candidate's name, address, and other identifying details. After the purge, the application can no longer be associated with the individual candidate.

However, the application record itself remains associated with the Job Requisition for historical and reporting purposes. As a result, the system continues to retain the fact that an application was submitted for that requisition.

Note: Full deletion of an application from a Job Requisition is not supported, regardless of whether the request involves a single application or multiple applications.
