2958744 - Class is not saved when creating a batch

Symptom

When creating a new batch and entering a class in classification tab, after saving, you go to Display Batch app and you can see that the class is not saved.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Create Batch app.
  2. Enter material, batch and Plant.
  3. Update short text.
  4. Click on classification tab.
  5. Enter class for batch.
  6. Click on save.
  7. Click on display to view batch.
  8. In classification tab, class is blank.

Cause

Standard System Behavior.

Resolution

After entering a class in classification tab, you must click on the create classification button.
