2959060 - Change logistics use not possible; logistics area not empty;

When trying to set Logistics use as "Not Relevant for planning" for Logistics Area KLM, system throws the below error messages. (KLM refers to Logistics Area)

"Change logistics use not possible; logistics area not empty;"

"Save could not be executed"

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to Supply Chain Design Master Data Workcenter.
2. Go to Locations View.
3. Search for Logistics Area KLM.
4. Select Logistics Use as "Not relevant for planning".
5. Errors below appear:

"Change logistics use not possible; logistics area not empty;"

"Save could not be executed"

There could be 2 causes:

1. Stock still exists in Logistics Area KLM.
2. If any tasks from Workcenter (Outbound Logistics, Internal Logistics, Inbound Logistics, Production Control, Quality Planning) which are open for Logistics area KLM.

Stock needs to be moved from Logistics Area KLM to some other Logistics Area via (Internal Logistics -> Goods Movement).

Open Tasks that exist from Work center (Outbound Logistics, Internal Logistics, Inbound Logistics, Production Control, Quality Planning) need to be processed.

To check any open tasks from Workcenter (Outbound Logistics, Internal Logistics, Inbound Logistics):

1. Go to Outbound Logistics/Internal Logistics/Inbound Logistics Workcenter.
2. Navigate to Task Control View.
3. Select Open Advanced Filter.
4. Select Task Status as "Not Started" & "In Process".
5. Select Go.

Note: It is necessary to check for Inspection tasks and count tasks as well to make sure that the above mentioned error is not displayed.
