Symptom

  • SAP ASE errorlog reports a "infected with signal 11" error in sqt_find_desc_pss()

  • The accompanying stacktrace includes the functions:

    sqt_find_desc_pss()
    tdsrecv__dyndealloc()
    tdsrecv_dynamic()

  • In some cases, this error is followed by an exception and ASE is shut down:

    FATAL UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: signal 0 hit while handling a previously hit signal. The server cannot continue and will shut down.
