• By using a live connection, it is important to understand the hybrid system landscape in place.
• It consists of a cloud-based web application (SAP Analytics Cloud) and an on-premise back-end source system (BW, BW/4HANA, BPC or S/4HANA on-premise).
• Due to this landscape, it is important to note that SAP still needs access to the on-premise backend systems via a remote connection.
• The remote connections needed to access the back-end server are the R/3 support (SAP GUI), HTTP-based tools and HTTP connect - URL access types.
