2959876 - System triggers error message "Transaction date must be between XXXX and today" when trying to perform Goods Movement

Symptom

You are trying to enter date which is beyond past 6 months in Actual Execution on while performing Goods Movement.Error appears

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Internal Logistics Work Center
  2. In Common tasks, Navigate to Goods Movement
  3. Enter Site id, Planning Area and Actual Execution date which is beyond past 6 months from current date 
  4. Press Enter Key
  5. Error appears "Transaction date must be between XXXX and today"*XXXX refers to Date which is beyond past 6 months 

Cause

This is due to the legal compliance, it is not possible to perform any transaction which took place beyond past six months. The purpose of this check is to provide data entry control.

Resolution

However, if you want to post this transaction beyond past 6 months, please follow the steps provided in the KBA: 2823591 - Date Not Valid Error When Creating Physical Inventory Count/Adjustment OR Any Inventory Postings
