2960236 - MP4 Files are Downloadable from Browser - Enhancement Request

• Users are able to right click and "Save video as..." to download an MP4 file that is on SAP SuccessFactors Learning. Downloading the MP4 file should not be possible.
• Users in Chrome are able to click on the three dots near the bottom right hand corner of the video and can select Download. Downloading the MP4 file should not be possible and removing the Download option from the menu should be possible.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

All browser manufactures provide their own video player. There is limited functionality that SAP SuccessFactors can do to change how the video player behaves.

In Chrome, the three dots to allow the Download prompt is handled by Chrome. As of Chrome release 58+, an enhanced controlList was introduced for all videos playing directly in the browser. This is native Chrome default layout that can only be changed through HTML code.

In Chrome and other browsers, users can also right click and download. This is built in to the browser code.

Chrome:

• If the three dots in Chrome need to be removed, please raise an enhancement request. A setting to handle the HTML code of the controlList API would need to be introduced. This is for Chrome only. Please make sure to raise an enhancement request for each specific browser. 2090228 - Enhancement Request process.

All browsers:

• If the issue is the users being able to right click and download, this cannot be changed by SAP SuccessFactors as we utilize the native video player of the browser. Please consult with your IT team to see if right clicking can be removed from users on the browser.
