2961131 - Recurring absence does not generate leave on non-working days or Weekends

Symptom

  • With the "Recurring absence" functionality, for a type of time with accounting in calendar days, it only generates automatic records for working days.
  • Non-working days (example: Saturday and Sunday) are omitted in the absence records that are generated.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Off

Reproducing the Issue

  1. A Recurring Absence from 08/20/20 to 08/25/20 only generates 4 absence records.
  2. Saturday 08/22 and Sunday 08/23 are omitted.
  3. If Recurring functionality is not used and the absence is created manually directly Saturday 08/22 is created without any problem. (This is when Requesting on Non-Working Days Allowed is set to Yes)

Cause

This is an Expected Behavior

Resolution

  • Currently, when you have the setting : "Requesting on Non-Working Days Allowed" set to Yes, the system will only allow you to pick non-working days as absences (Recurring or regular) but this is not deducted unless they are marked as Working days on Work Schedule.
  • Regardless of the above setting, Weekends / Non-Working days are not supported for Recurring absences.
  • If customers would need these records, they will ned to create them manually for non working days.
  • An Enhancement exists (TIM-15432) which is currently under planning phase and not yet confirmed on the release date. Please reach out to you CSM/CEE to track the enhancement 'TIM-15432'.
