2961686 - Sales area related fields are not restricted in delivery creation apps like how it's configured in the business role - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

The business role which contains business catalog SAP_LE_BC_OD_PROC_MC is restricted to a specific sales organization, distribution channel or division. However, when using this business role to open delivery creation apps, the sales area related fields can be filled in with the values other than the restricted ones.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open Maintain Business Role app with a business role who contains business catalog SAP_LE_BC_OD_PROC_MC.
2. Restrict this business role to a specific sales organization, distribution channel or division.
3. Open delivery creation apps like Create Outbound Deliveries – From Sales orders, Create Outbound Delivery(ID:VL01N), My Schedule Lines(ID: VL10*), finding that the sales organization, distribution channel or division field can be filled in with the value other than the restricted one.

This is a general design decision that the authorization for sales document processing is not needed when processing delivery documents.

The applications do not have checks on any of the authorization objects belonging to restriction type sales area related fields including sales organization, distribution channel, and division. The most relevant check when processing delivery documents is for Shipping Point.
