2962213 - Share icon is grayed out when attempting to share Concur import Connections although the user is the owner of the connection in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Share icon is not visible when attempting to share Concur import Connections in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• How can we share connections in SAP Analytics Cloud?

• SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Log into SAP Analytics Cloud.
2. Create a concur import connection.
3. Select the 'Connection', attempt to click the   icon in the top right hand corner.
4. Notice that this icon is grayed out.

• This is behavior by design and currently the following import connection type support sharing.
  
  • SAP BW
  • SAP BPC
  • Google Drive
  • Google BigQuery
  • OData Services
  • SAP Cloud for Customer
  • SAP Business ByDesign Analytics
  • SAP S/4 HANA
  • SQL
  • File Server

SAP Analytics Cloud supports the connections (referenced on the page linked) for sharing: Sharing an Import Data Connection

Workaround

For datasources which do not currently support sharing, you can export the connection by following the guide: Exporting Content to a .tgz File  and send the tgz file to someone who you want to share connection with.

Note: An enhancement request about "SAP Concur Connection can't be Shared in SAP Analytics cloud" has been created: 305426 please vote to it so that the Development team can consider implementing this in future releases of SAP Analytics Cloud.
