2962435 - Business Role Not Replicated From SuccessFactors to Business ByDesign

Symptom

When attempting to replicate an employee from SuccessFactors to Business ByDesign, the user role column in the staging area remains blank, even though the corresponding user was assigned to a permission role (& group) in SuccessFactors.

Environment

SAP Business By Design

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Master Data Replication work center
  2. Click on Employees view
  3. Search for the relevant user
  4. Click on Edit
  5. Go to Business Role tab

Cause

The current Business ByDesign solution does not provide for replicating business roles from SuccessFactors to Business ByDesign.

Resolution

  • The business role will have to be maintained manually in Business ByDesign via the Application and User Management work centre > Business Users view.
