If you try to merge the duplicate candidate profiles through Manage Duplicate candidates, out of which, one of the sources of the candidate profile is Agency, the Agency source overrides the master profile source.
If the master profile source is LinkedIn, and other profile (duplicate profile) source is Agency after the merge, Agency source will appear in the final merged candidate profile.

Reproducing the Issue
Identify a duplicate Candidate profile for which one of the source is Agency between the two duplicate profiles.
Goto Manage Duplicate Profiles
Search the candidate and select the Master profile for which the source is not Agency.
After you merge the profiles, the master profile source is seen as "Agency Candidate" eventhough the profile you choose to be the master is from a different Source.
Cause
This is an expected behaviour for now, which has a pending permanent fix.
Resolution
This has been reported to our engineering team, and has been considered in the enhancement requests.
We will notify on this in our release notes in the upcoming releases.
