2963205 - Deleted Global Assignment gets pulled in Action Search

Why are deleted Global Assignment being searched in the Action Search?

• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: Concurrent Employment
• SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite 

1. Delete a user's Global Assignment through Manage Global Assignment
2. In People and Action Search, search for the user with deleted Global Assignment
   RESULT: The deleted Global Assignment will get pulled in the search

This is an expected behavior when the 'Show inactive user in people search' switch in 'Company System and Logo Settings' is enabled.


Below is the order of preference when switch is on:

1. Active Global Assignment/Concurrent Employment
2. INACTIVE Global Assignment/Concurrent Employment
3. Active Regular Employment

This happens because when we delete a Global Assignment, it is not actually purged from the system, therefore, it is still in the system.

Currently, this is how the system is designed.
If you don't wish for inactive employments to show in the Action Search, you may disable the 'Show inactive user in people search' switch in 'Company System and Logo Settings'.

1. Navigate to Company System and Logo Settings
2. Search for 'Show inactive user in people search'
3. Untick the switch
4. Save changes
