2964000 - HANA upgrade fails with error "Undefined subroutine &LCM::Component::Installable::ResidentInstaller::ResidentInstallerRoot::deleteFile"

Symptom

During a HANA update an error similar to the below is encountered in hdblcm.log:

00:00:00.000 - INFO: Deleting any old SIGNATURE.SMF because a new one not found in installation kit
00:00:00.000 - ERR : unhandled exception: Undefined subroutine &LCM::Component::Installable::ResidentInstaller::ResidentInstallerRoot::deleteFile called at LCM/Component/Installable/ResidentInstaller/ResidentInstallerRoot.pm line 178.
