2964448 - DUMP DATABASE of an offline encrypted database fails with error 692 or 4216 - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • DUMP DATABASE fails with A 692 error, "Uninitialized logical page '<page-id>' was read while accessing <partition-information>. Please contact SAP Technical Support.", or
  • DUMP DATABASE fails with a 4216 error, "DUMP DATABASE failed in database <database-name>: unexpected end of log encountered on page <page-id> while scanning for page <page-id>."
