2965906 - Importing and Exporting Goal/Objective Plan from Provisioning

Symptom

This KB article explains the process behind providing an import/export of a Goal/Objective Plan XML template from Provisioning.

As a customer, you do not have access to Provisioning. Please engage your Partner to load the goal plan XML on your behalf.

  • Additionally, you can vote and comment in the Customer Influence ideas that were addressed on this topic, asking our Product Management Team to offer these configurations in a future release as self-service in the Admin Center, as opposed to XML manipulation. Your votes help us to prioritize ideas that we will consider for upcoming product releases. For Goal Management please refer to the Improvement Request 211002.

Resolution

  1. Access Provisioning and click on the Company name of the desired environment

  2. Under Managing Plan Template, click Import/Update/Export Goal/Objective Plan Template

  3. Find the Goal/Objective plan you need and click Export
  4. The option to either Save/Open the XML template to a specific location will be presented
  5. Click “Open” to provide specific edits to the XML template as needed (see KBA 2250190 for edits related to customer requests).
  6. Save the file to a location that can be easily accessed

  7. Under Add a new Goal Template or Update an existing one, click Browse
  8. Find the XML template from the location where it was saved.
  9. The system requires a Description of changes before the file can be uploaded back in the system. Some suggestions include the same name formatting of the template with the added configuration changes and the date of the upload.
  10. Click Upload.

  11. Once uploaded, a message will appear of either a successful or unsuccessful upload. There may be warning messages explaining configurations that need to be addressed and/or reconfigured. Depending on the warning messages, the file may still upload successfully even with configuration issues.

  12. Clicking the Audit feature will show any changes and/or recent uploads of the file when they occurred and by whom.

  13. The updated template is now ready to be reviewed by the customer.
