2965959 - How to manually delete MDF Positions in the instance?

This article provides information on how to manually delete MDF positions in the instance, without having to go through the import process.

To permanently delete MDF positions individually in your instance, without having to use the import method to purge them, go to:

1. Admin Center > Manage Positions or Manage Data;
2. Search the target position to purge;
3. Click Take Action > Permanently Delete Entry in the parent record or apply the action for each child record you would like to purge for the target position.

It is important to note that, if you are deleting positions in Succession Org Chart, the system will use soft-deletion, where the current record for the positions will be inactivated in the system, but still available for your Position Model.

Also, when you delete a position, the successors and nomination history of this position will be lost. Even if you import the same position back to the system, the successors and nomination history cannot be recovered.
