2966041 - Some business roles are missing in Maintain Business User app - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

Some business roles, such as SAP_BR_BPC_EXPERT and SAP_BR_CONFIG_EXPERT_DATA_MIG, are not available in Maintain Business User app.

Environment

 SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Add business role in "Maintain Business User" app
  2. Unable to find the related business roles (such as "SAP_BR_BPC_EXPERT", "SAP_BR_CONFIG_EXPERT_DATA_MIG" etc.)

Cause

Both "SAP_BR_BPC_EXPERT" and "SAP_BR_CONFIG_EXPERT_DATA_MIG" are business role templates rather than specific business roles.

Resolution

To create a new role, use the business role template "SAP_BR_BPC_EXPERT" or "SAP_BR_CONFIG_EXPERT_DATA_MIG" rather than adding it directly in the "Maintain Business User" app.
