2967167 - You Are Unable to Update Opportunity Product Notes With Data Workbench Work Center

You are unable to upsert opportunity product notes. When downloading the template, you are unable to find opportunity ID and Item ID. Since there is no opportunity ID and item ID, you exported opportunities to get the Opportunity_External_Key. You also exported opportunity product to get the Opportunity_Item_External_Key. But the field external keys is blank in the export file.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to Data Workbench work center
2. Click on Import view
3. Select Complete Business Object
4. Search for Opportunity
5. Download .csv file
6. Open Opportunity_Product_Notes.csv

To update notes of the opportunity products, please follow the four steps below:

Step 1: Export Opportunity Product object based on required opportunity ID and item ID

1. Go to Data Workbench work center
2. Click on Export view
3. Search for Opportunity Product
4. Click on Select Data
5. Add filter opportunity ID and product ID
6. Click on Export

Step 2: Export Opportunity Product Notes to get a sample data file and clear the data records

1. Go to Data Workbench work center
2. Click on Export view
3. Search for Opportunity Product Notes
4. Click on All Data
5. Click on Export

Step 3: Use the Object ID from step 1 and map it to ParentObjectID in a file from step 2

1. Copy ObjectID from the file exported in Step 1
2. Paste into the ParentObjectID field to the file from Step 2
3. Leave ObjectID and HeaderObjectID blank in the file from Step 2
4. Enter other notes details

Step 4: Submit this file for individual update

1. Go to Data Workbench work center
2. Click on Import view
3. Click on Individual Update
4. Search for Opportunity Product Notes
5. Click on Next
6. Upload file
7. Click on Upload
8. Click on Next
9. Click on Import

To update the external keys, you should use ID mapping.
