2967873 - Default Value Of Time Extension Field


 You create a new extension field of type "Time", on field definition the default value is set as empty, however for new instances the field is filled with "00:00".

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to New Ticket. Also applicable for other business objects. 
  2. On adaptation mode.
  3. Click on Add Field.
  4. Create a new extension field of type Time.
  5. Let default value empty.
  6. Add field to UI.
  7. Leave adaptation mode.
  8. Create a new ticket.
  9. Time field created is filled with 00:00.


This is expected behavior as per the system design.


New instances will be filled with "00:00" once default value is empty on field definition.
