Symptom

dbcc checkstorage fails with timeslice and stack trace:

  • Error: 9970, Severity: 20, State: 1
    DBCC cannot update the finish time in dbcc_operation_log table for this operation(opid = '4') of database 'XXX'. This can be patched by executing sp_dbcc_patch_finishtime.
     
  • Stack includes:
    timeslice -xxx, current process infected at (pchk_bt_leaf_page)
    pchk_all_pages
    pchk_scan_work
    pchk_wtphasex
    pchk_wtmainex
    pchk_wt_main
    pchk_all_pages
