2968128 - Talent Search - Why do some ratings show as the rating labels and others show as the rating number?

Symptom

When using the Talent Search to search Trend Data (Performance, Potential, Competency, Objective, Custom1 and Custom2) you may see some ratings have the rating label while others have the rating number in the percentage of match bar on the results page.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Succession and Development

Reproducing the Issue

1. Open the Talent Search within the Succession Management module.

2. Select a Trend Data element under the Ratings and Competencies section eg. sysOverallPerfrormance.

3. Select the various filters such as Start Date, End Date and the Rating range.

4. Select the Search option.

5. Click the "% of Match" bar for an example user.

6. The Rating(s) and Date Range will appear.

Cause

When there is a difference between the rating scale used in the source of the ratings (eg. PM Form) and the rating scale used in the Talent Search, the ratings are normalized accordingly. When the ratings do not have an exact mapped value after the normalization, the rating and the rating scale will be displayed to provide context to the users.

Resolution

This is the expected system behavior as per the current system design, however you may always update the rating scale through the Talent Search Settings section of the Admin Center to best suit your business needs.
