2968290 - Proxy stops working after performance degradation - SAP PD

Symptom

  • After working for some time, repository actions take longer and longer to the point that branching, merging, checking in or out are no longer working.
  • At this point the service does not respond to a stop request, and the only option is to kill the process.
  • After a restart the proxy works fine for a couple of hours/days.
  • Implementing daily restart with cleaning of the cache does not help.
  • The same error is raised a lot of times in the Proxy log file:
       Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'dbo.PMXATV' with unique index 'PMXATV_PK'.
