Symptom

  • With configuration parameter 'procedure deferred compilation' is enabled
  • Derived tables in a system stored procedures recompile the procedure every time
  • As a result this can lead to :
    • sybsystemprocs filling up
    • performance issues
    • blocking when doing bulk inserts using prepared statements
  • The stored procedures sp_drv_bcpmetadata and sp_jdbc_getprocedurecolumns are known to be affected
