2969897 - How to create Competencies Library Export job to SFTP server?

This article provides basic information on how to export your competency library to an SFTP server.

To export your competency library to your SFTP server, you will need to engage your Implementation Partner, as access to Provisioning is required. If you are no longer working with an Implementer, Product Support can assist you with this request (component LOD-SF-CJ-COC). 

Implementer & Support Only

The following information is required to create the scheduled job in Provisioning > Manage Scheduled Jobs > Create New Job:

1. Job Definition:
   
   • Job Name;
   • Job Owner - user with full admin permissions in your instance;
   • Job Type - select Competency Library Export;
2. Job Parameters:
   
   • Select Character Encoding if any specific for the library you are exporting;
   • Export GUID or Skip GUID;
     NOTE: For competency libraries that will be connected to Learning System (LMS integration), the GUID is required information - is how the system will link the BizX competencies to LMS.
   • Select Competency Library to export;
   • Select languages in which you want to export the library:
     NOTE: this is a mandatory setting, and not selecting a language for the export may result in a failed job.
     
     
     
     
3. Server Access:
   
   • SFTP Login Details - Host Address, Login and Password:
     
     
     
     
4. File Access:
   
   • File Path - folder to store the exported competency library in your SFTP server;
   • File Name - name of the data file for exporting into SFTP;
   • Date Format - can be used to indicate the date of export job into file name (not required);
   • File Encryption - select PGP if you want the file to be exported to SFTP encrypted (not required):
     
     
     
     
5. Job Occurrence & Notification:
   
   • Occurrence (Once, Recurring or Dependent of) - provide recurring pattern, week/month/year day and time;
   • Start Date - when the job can start (specific date or immediately);
   • End Date - inform if job has a date to stop (not required);
   • Additional Email Recipients - besides job owner, inform email account of additional recipients (not required);
   • Send Email when job starts - select this option if you want the job owner and additional email recipients to receive email notification when job starts (not required):
