2969921 - How to use CLEAR SELECTION functionality for custom picklist field within iOS Mobile App for Time Off - SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Time Off

Symptom

The custom picklist field in iOS allows users to select one of the picklist values by clicking on the list item. However, it is not always mandatory to select the picklist value, and often the user wants to clear the selected value using the CLEAR SELECTION option.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to the Successfactors app on the iPhone device
  2. Go to Time Off and request for a leave
  3. Select the picklist value for the custom field.
  4. There is no CLEAR SELECTION option if you want to clear the selected value

Cause

This is currently expected behavior as per the design. The Clear selection is available within Android but not in the iOS

Resolution

  • We have an open enhancement request MOB-39227 to improve the behavior in upcoming release
  • With this enhancement, we will enable users with the "clear selection" functionality for custom picklist on iOS for Time Sheet and Time Off, so that they can clear the picklist value when not needed.
