2969948 - Notification System for C4C Certificate Renewal Is Not Received

An email system notification from the Tenant about Certificate Renewal was not received.

Context: the tenant certificate validity check runs in the tenant on the first day of each month, this is automatic. If the expiry date of the certificate is between 60 and 92 days before renewal, a first notification is created informing the key users that the certificate will expire soon. The renewal will happen on the first day of the following month.

Use case example: A Notification email from C4C should have been received regarding the Renewal of Mandate Certificate or Mandate User Certificate (M-User).

One or more missing configuration might be preventing to get the e-mail Notification from the Tenant:

1. The Business Task Management element for the Business Configuration is not set in the scope for the related system. Please refer to screenshot attached.
2. The notifications are assigned to any Admin user that has access to the Application and User Management Work Center.
3. The notification will then be visible in the notification window in the Tenant UI. The business user must subscribe to the notification to receive an email notification. 

To check the Scope Question:

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
3. Select the First Implementation Project and click on Edit.
4. Jump to step 4 - Question.
5. Drill down to Built-in Services and Support > System Management > User and Access Management.
6. Check In Scope box for the question: You can use business task management for user and access management.

To set the required assignment to Admin User:

1. Go to the Administrator work center.
2. Go to the General Settings.
3. Go to the Business User.
4. Select and open the Admin User desired.
5. Click on Edit and Access Right.
6. Switch to the tab Work Center and View Assignment.
7. Check the box for assignment of Application and User Management Work Center.

New from 1st Nov 2024:

A new background Job will send an e-mail notification to the IT Contacts for the expiration of M-user certificates. It will be sent in the start of each month in case that the tenant certificate will expiry in less than 92 days. E.g. Expiry date is 30th Sep, the email will be sent on 1st July." 

Note for non productive systems: If the feature "E-Mail and Fax Delivery in a Non-Productive System" is set, then only this contact will be emailed, to review this feature:

1. Go to Work Centre Business Configuration -> Overview.
2. Search the configuration elements and open activity "E-Mail and Fax Settings".
3. Click on "E-Mail and Fax Settings" and check section "E-Mail and Fax Delivery in a Non-Productive System".

• If a capability is to be given to the user, to subscribe for the email for a task notification, so that email notifications are received, the first BAC element should be scoped (refer to 2462503).
• If by default all users should receive the email notification for the task created, without there prior subscription, the second BAC element to be scoped (refer to 2928537).
