2969992 - Error appears "Calculation method Equal to Resource Utilization not permitted for service" while trying to change the Calculation Method for BoO

You are trying to change the Calculation Method  as "'Equal to Resource Utilization" for BoO KLM, Error appears.*KLM refers to BoO id, DEF refers to Product Activity,MNO refers to Service Master id.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to  Planning and Production Master Data  Work Center
2. Go to Production Bills Of Operation View
3. Search BoO KLM and select Edit
4. Select tab Structure, open Produce activity DEF
5. Select sub-tab Services in the below, we can see there is an active and default service MNO, its Calculation Method is Equal to Resource Utilization
6. Select button Check Consistency, system reports error

1. Go to Supply Chain Design Master Data Work Center
2. Go to Resources View
3. Search MNO, click Edit
4. Select tab Services, we can see service MNO, also has Calculation Method 'Equal to Resource Utilization'

Service Master MNO  has the base UoM as "n"  Calculation method says equal to resource utilization and hence expects base UoM of the service MNO to be in same unit of measure maintained while maintaining Fixed Quantity and Variable Quantity.

1. Navigate to  Planning and Production Master Data  Work Center
2. Go to Production Bills Of Operation View
3. Search  BOO_TMP_202009141248160496300  click Edit
4. Select tab Structure, open OP_001 > ACT_001
5. Maintain Fixed quantity and Variable quantity in hours
6. Now Select sub-tab Services in the below, we can see there is an active and default service TRSV0001_MK, now change Calculation Method is Equal to Resource Utilization
7. Click Save
