User encountered an error message “Please select other than closed status to proceed with your operation” when trying to re-open a closed job requisition.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

1. Close a job requisition
2. Click the button “Reopen Job Requisition” to reopen job requisition
3. Error message “Please select other than closed status to proceed with your operation” will display

It is the current system design where job requisitions cannot be reopened with a closed status currently selected.

The correct process of reopening a job requisition is to select a status other than “Closed/Filled” status first, before clicking the reopen button for the job requisition to successfully be reopened, or the error message will display as a reminder to users.

Please note it is possible to customize this error message for the key RECRUITING_CLOSE_UNAPPROVED_JOBREQ using Manage Language tool, as per KBA 2576546 - Using the Manage Language Feature to Change Labels in SuccessFactors.
