2972450 - runcluvfy.sh fails with PRVG-10048

Symptom

When running runcluvfy.sh, it fails with the error below:


Failures were encountered during execution of CVU verification request "stage -pre crsinst".
Verifying resolv.conf Integrity ...FAILED
<hostname1>: PRVG-10048 : Name "<hostname1>" was not resolved to an address of
 the specified type by name servers "<IP_Address>".
<hostname2>: PRVG-10048 : Name "<hostname2>" was not resolved to an address of
 the specified type by name servers "<IP_Address>".
<hostname3>: PRVG-10048 : Name "<hostname3>" was not resolved to an address of
 the specified type by name servers "<IP_Address>".
