2972613 - Different fixed asset code length - SAP S/4HANA Cloud

For some companies the fixed asset number length is 6 digits and for some other companies it is 8 digits.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

The length of number range intervals delivered for asset master data was 6 digits.

However this length was increased to 8 digits starting with 1908, but this will be available only for newly created company codes.

The number range intervals delivered before 1908 cannot be extended, nor can the number range from 1908 be reduced.

Therefore, only for new installations will be the length 8 digits.
