2973396 - Rules based on Termination Event Reason are not working during Termination Imports

Symptom

When importing Termination Details, Business Rules using Termination Event Reason are not working as expected.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Employee Data Imports
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Business Rules

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Configure a Rule to check the Termination Event Reason and set certain values in Job Information.
  2. Import Termination Details.
  3. The values to be set by the rule does not get set.

Cause

This is an expected behaviour when trying to set certain fields in Job Information.

Resolution

Currently OnSave rules to set Job Info element fields are supported during Termination Details import. But if the rule intends to set Event Reason, Change Reason and Start date, then system will reset the value(s) with the corresponding values provided in the Termination import payload. We also expect that End date should not be modified by rule and import will honor the end date provided in payload.
