2973396 - Rules based on Termination Event Reason are not working during Imports

Symptom

  • When importing Termination Details, the Business Rules using Termination Event Reason are not working as expected.
  • In Rule Trace, Event Reason is retrieved as null instead of the value used in the Termination Details Import.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Employee Data Imports
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Business Rules

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Configure a Rule in to check the Termination Event Reason and set certain values in Job Information.
  2. Import Termination Details.
  3. The values to be set by the rule does not get set and in the Rule Trace, Event Reason is retrieved as null.

Cause

This is a Product Gap. Triggering Business Rules based on Termination Event Reason in Termination Details Import is not supported.

Resolution

There is already an existing Enhancement Request for this gap tracked in ECT-137128 - Business rule on Termination Imports.
