Symptom
You see in the UI screen that the employee time profile is not loading the time account rules correctly for custom time accounts.
You copied the standard time account ABC into a custom time account ZABC to change a setting. Now you find that the rules you configured do not load in the employee time profile.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
1. Go to the Time Administration work centre.
2. Go to the Employees view.
3. Search and Edit related Employee ID.
4. Go to Time Profile facet.
5. In the Time Account Rules, see time account ABC. The time Account Rules are not searchable.
6. Check Fine Tuning activity 'Time Account - <Country> , then Time Account Rules to find that custom time account ZABC has rules configured as expected.
Cause
The time account rules are active from a starting date in the future, for example 01.01.2020. However, the time profile of the employee is active from a date prior to the time account rules starting date, for example 01.06.2019. Therefore the system does not allow the rules to be added as they are not active for that time yet. There is a gap between dates meaning that system cannot determine what rules to give between 01.06.2019 to 01.01.2020.
Resolution
You have to either change the validity dates of the time account rules or you have to create a time profile split for the employee. This would then make the Time account rules appear again.
