2974967 - Error Message "New Case for Conflict Resolution" When Scoping Time Recording for Project Management

When you scope project related Time Recording in the Business Configuration, system raises error message "New case for conflict resolution."

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Access the Implementation Projects work center view.
3. Click the Edit Project Scope button.
4. In the scoping wizard, navigate to step 3 - Scoping
5. Expand the Project Management business topic.
6. Next, expand Project Planning and Execution.
7. Select the checkbox for Time Recording.
8. Click Next.
9. Error is raised.

Due to a constraint change, you have to select one of the following scoping questions before you are able to scope Time Recording:

1. In the scoping wizard, navigate to step 4 - Questions.
2. Expand the Project Management business topic.
3. Next, expand Project Planning and Execution.
4. Select Project Resource Management.
5. On the right side you will find under the Resource Management group the following questions:
• Do you want to use Resource Availability Search based on Commitment Quantity of the employee from Projects Team and Staffing?
• Do you want to use Resource Availability Search based on planned work specified at the task level of a project?

By selecting one of the above-mentioned questions, you will be able to go back to the Scoping step and select the Time Recording option under Project Management > Project Planning and Execution.
