2975129 - Discrepancy between applications statistics on job boards and SuccessFactors - Recruiting Posting

Symptom

I have posted a job offer and the job board statistics (applications or clicks) are different from the ones I can see in SuccessFactors.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Posting
  • SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Cause

Each job board has its own way to compile statistics.
Some job boards can count the number of clicks on the Apply button on the job page, others will count the number of views (how many times the job was consulted).

Resolution

As there is no standard, the job board's statistics can be calculated differently.

SuccessFactors will show only candidates that have gone through the whole application process. Number of clicks in Recruiting Posting will show how many times candidates clicked the Apply button leading to the application URL and tracking.

Before reporting any applications discrepancy, you should reach out to the job board and double-check how exactly statistics are calculated on their end.
