2976105 - Error "PP planning procedure 2 invalid" when copying material/product

• In Create Material app, you create a new material by copying an existing material and get error "PP planning procedure 2 invalid" (/SAPAPO/MAT311)
• In Manage Product Master Data app, you create a new product by copying an existing product and get error "PP planning procedure 2 invalid" (/SAPAPO/MAT311)

• SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2008 and above

1. Open Create Material app
2. Create new material using the Copy from material
3. On Save, you receive error "PP planning procedure 2 invalid"

OR

1. Open Manage Product Master Data app
2. Select a product and click copy
3. On Save, you receive error "PP planning procedure 2 invalid"

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, Advance planning functionality is not supported. In release SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2008, additional checks were introduced to ensure consistent data.

Export, cleanse and mass change any materials/products with field "PP planning procedure" by following the steps below:

1. Open Export Master Data Products app 
2. Select Specific Fields = MARC-SCM_RRP_TYPE
3. Select Products to include MARC-SCM_RRP_TYPE equal to 2
4. Click on Export to get the complete list of products which could have this issue
5. Take the subset of products from this excel and change the SCM_RRP_TYPE to blank
6. Go to Mass Maintenance products app and create a mass process using the excel
7. After the completion of the process, you will be able to copy the material/product without error.
