2976179 - Customer Language not Available for SSO Login

You activated an additional customer language and created a language adaptation for it.

• But the language cannot be used for the SSO login.
• It is also not available for language selection in the attribute settings of a business user.

The language user settings as the SSO language have been introduced in one of the recent C4C releases before 2008. It used to be the internet browsers 'preferred language' in the past.

However, only so-called 'installed languages', to be activated in the business configuration scoping, can be selected here because this setting also has an effect on other functions, such as feeds & notifications.

It is currently not planned to introduce customer languages as SSO language. There are the following workarounds:

1)

You can, for example,  embed browser extensions, e.g. Redirector (there are many) for Chrome and maintain the rule as shown below.

So whenever the browser finds the respective pattern, it can redirect to the respective target URL (in our case with the language parameter).

2)

The user can bookmark the page with the “sap-language” parameter (example below)

https://myxxxxxx-sso.crm.ondemand.com/sap/ap/ui/clogin?sap-language=DE

This will re-direct to the IDP and the login will be done in the German language, in the above example.
