Option to Save Story Reports During Query Design

Before:

You were unable to save a Report Story as query designer step.

After:

You can now save a Story report during the query design phase without having to wait until the story design phase.

Add Story Reports as Favorites on a Home Page Tile

Before:

Report Story option was missing from homepage to add under Favorite.

After:

If a report no longer exist of user doesn’t have permission to view it, an message will appear

Including subject Position data was not an option earlier

After:

In Succession Nominations (MDF Position) schema, while applying the Position option in Scope filter, you can now decide whether you want to include or exclude the data of the user occupying the position, on which you're applying the scope filter

Content Store for Story Report Templates

This feature is Valid as of 2020-12-11

Before:

Standard report stories were available outside SF.

After:

You can now import ready-to-use Story reports from the new Content Store available in Report Center.

User Readiness Verification for Stories in People Analytics

Before:

In the previous version, there is no way to identify if the user is created in SAC or not.

After:

Use the Availability of user record for People Analytics check to verify whether a user has a person GUID assigned in the system and can access Stories in People Analytics. The check also verifies whether the "Embedded_BI_Content_Admin" role, which is essential to access Stories in People Analytics, has been assigned to the selected user.

Proxy User Support for Story Reports

The Feature is Valid as of 2021-03-26

Before:

Proxy was not supported for Report Story.

After:

Using Proxy Now, you can now access the Story reports that are available to the proxy user. Proxy user can now run & create the stories based on RBP permission assigned.

When you proxy as another user to create or to run a Story report, the data retrieved in the report is based on the proxy user's permissions.

Instance Refresh Support for Stories in People Analytics

Before:

Report Stories were not supported during instance refresh.

After:

You can now perform Instance Refresh without impacting the configuration of the Stories in People Analytics solution on the target instance.

Note: Stories from the source tenant aren't copied to the target tenant during Instance Refresh. We recommend that customer export the Story reports they want to retain on target tenant, before performing Instance Refresh. After the refresh is complete, customer can reimport the Story reports into the target tenant.

Enhanced Upgrade Failure Message for Stories in People Analytics

Before:

The UI Failure message was not descriptive enough to understand the exact UC failure reason due to IAS mis-configuration.

After:

The upgrade failure message for Stories in People Analytics has been enhanced to provide reasons that caused the failure.

The upgrade failure message now shows a list of single sign-on settings related to SAP Identity Authentication Service that failed the Upgrade Center task for Stories in People Analytics.

Manual Entry of Date Filter Values

You can now manually enter the filter value for a date time field in a Table report.

Before:

In the previous version, you selected a filter value for the date time field using a checkbox on the BY MY Selection tab or a dropdown on the BY Rule tab.

After:

You can now manually enter a filter value for the date field in the Table report.

Guardrail Limit Applied to Multi-Domain Non-BIRT Table Reports

Before:

In the previous version, there was no restriction on running multi-domain reports without a BIRT template.

After:

You can now run multi-domain Table reports without a Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT) template only if they return less than 100 million cells.

Multi-domain reports without a BIRT template that return more than 100 million cells are blocked. To run these reports, you can reduce the cell count by applying filters or by modifying the report definition.

Switch from FTP to SFTP Scheduling for Canvas and Work Force Analytics Reports 

You can now use only the secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) to transfer your scheduled Canvas and Workforce Analytics reports.

Before:

In the previous version, you had an option to select either FTP method or SFTP method in both Report Center and Report Distributor for transferring scheduled Canvas and WFA reports.

After:

You can now use only the secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) to transfer your scheduled Canvas and Workforce Analytics reports.

Transferring Canvas and WFA reports through FTP is no longer supported.

Cancel Scheduled Jobs

Before:

In the previous version, cancel option was not available. These long running jobs sometime bring load to server.

After:

You can now cancel a scheduled job that is in the In Progress or Waiting status for Table and Canvas reports.

Access the Application During Initial Load with Minimal Downtime
This feature is Valid as of 2020-12-27

You can now access Workforce Analytics on SAP HANA application during Initial Load (new cube build process) with minimal downtime.

Before:

In the previous version, the application used to stop working during the cube build process. It didn't allow you to perform any task until a successful cube was build. There used to be an extended down time if process failed or took a longer time to run.

After:

You can access the application during the cube build process. The application keeps running with the existing cube (old configuration) until the new cube (new configuration) is build successfully. In case the new cube build fails, the application keeps running on the old cube.

Email Notification for Changes to User Account

Before:

In the previous version, email notifications weren't sent to users if their first name or email address was changed.

After:

You now receive an email notification when your full name or email address is changed. For changes to your email address, the system sends a notification to your previous and new email IDs. An email notification provides you a confirmation of the changes to your full name and email address. The email notification also alerts you to take appropriate action if the changes are incorrect or unintended.

Reset Password Using Password Reset Link

Before:

In the previous version, email notifications weren't sent to users if their first name or email address was changed.

After:

When you change or reset your password, you now receive an email containing a password reset link, instead of a plaintext password.
