2976880 - Cannot open any report in EPM Add-in after installing Microsoft updates - BPC NW

Symptom

  • When trying to open a report template from the server folder in EPM Add-in, Excel closes without any error.
  • On client machines with Windows 10 version 1909, the issue occurs after installing Microsoft update KB4576484.
  • On client machines with Windows 10 version 2004, the issue occurs after installing Microsoft update KB4570721 or KB4576478
