Symptom
- Updating SAP ASE 16.0 (to later releases SP03 PL08 HF1 / SP03 PL09), following individual steps SAP Note 2800483;
- During the step for TASK=UPDATE_ASE_SOFTWARE, the process appears to be stuck (or hung) and stops with the following logs being written in dev_sapdbctrl:
