Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
- Identify the user type in Employee Central (Full User or Functional User).
- Check the employment status and system of record settings in Employee Central.
- Verify access permissions and contingent worker flags for the user.
Cause
The issue arises due to differences in user roles, employment status, and system of record configurations in Employee Central.
Resolution
Full User:
- Active employment in Employee Central.
- Employee Central is the system of record.
Functional User:
-
Non-employee (including contingent workers/contractors).
Contingent worker flag is set to Yes in Employee Central

Employee Central is not the system of record.
The user has read-only access to Employee Central
-
Employee Central is the system of record, but the employee does not have access to the system (no User Login permission granted).

Seasonal workers.

Note: EC users without User Login or Mobile Access permissions will be considered functional users, so these permissions cannot be kept if they should not be considered full users.
