  1. CCv2 upgrade usually does not impact the Storefront and Backoffice. This is confirmed in the SAP notification sent out prior to upgrade:
    • All customers in CCV2 will be upgraded at the same time.
    • The Cloud Automation engine functions being upgraded are related to the Administration of the Commerce application base image. Customer's Commerce applications are not impacted by this process as it is already deployed in Customer Zone in the Azure subscription.
  2. Usually, official downtime is 4 hours and communication team will notify customers if the maintenance is completed earlier
  3. What is usually included in Commerce Cloud Portal Upgrade:
    • Code fixes to improve and fix known bugs
    • Security patches
    • New Features codes will be applied however it will be switched off by default - new feature will only be enabled later by SAP
    • Upgrade strategies necessary for fixes rollout procedure. Delivered upgrades are later scheduled by SAP, with proper notification visible within Cloud Portal on environment dashboard
