On the Stock Overview, you make a search using the advanced filter field Product Category ID, however the search results shows different Product Categories.
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Outbound Logistics Control work center.
- Go to the Stock Overview common task.
- Click on the advanced filter button.
- On Site ID field, enter ID ABC (ABC represents the Site ID).
- On Product Category ID field , enter ID XYZ (XYZ represents the Product Category ID).
- Click on Go button.
At this point we can see that there are Product Categories that are not the XYZ, as you used on the filter.
This is a standard behavior of the system. The system considers both Product Category ID field and Storage Group ID field as product categories. Therefore, when you make a search using these filters, there will be results where the Product Category ID is different then the one you entered. This happens because the Storage Group of the product is also XYZ, even though its Product Category is different.
Since this is a standard behavior of the system, you can do the following workaround: To filter the Product Category IDs, you can do the search normally, as described on the steps above, and then filter the results by clicking on the Product Category ID row and typing XYZ on the Filter.
