Symptom
When searching users in the Learning admin side, an error is thrown: "Error message = Cannot initialize the value object: Invalid column name java.sql.SQLException: Invalid column name".
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Cause
This is potentially related to a modification (customization) in the search selector code.
Resolution
Revert the search selector code. In the Learning admin side, go to:
- System Administration > Configuration > Search Selectors >
- Access the "User" search selector in the edit mode > Revert all changes >
- This can be done by selecting the "View Configuration Changes" option and copying everything below "Default Configuration" and above "Your Configuration Changes" > Then, paste it into the configuration field > Apply Changes.
Search selectors can be customized, however they're not supported, nor validated in tests for any new releases. If there are changes to the standard search selector code, a redesign of the custom search selector code might be needed. The search selector customization is handled by the SAP team that delivers services and by SAP Certified Partners (KBA 2149831).
