2983544 - [Onboarding] BPE ERROR : USER ALREADY EXISTS user_sys_id in Onboarding

Symptom

We get BPE error in to do tile of BPE user.

  • An error occurred while saving the HRIS data for the user due to the following reason: {"responsePayload":[{"userSysId":"XYZ","hrisSaveStatus":[{"elementType":null,"key":null,"statusCode":"ERROR","errorInfo":"USER ALREADY EXISTS user_sys_id: XYZ for the entity: JOB_INFO"}]}]}.


Environment

SAP SUCCESSFACTORS ONBOARDING

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Initiate ONB for candidate from RCM
  2. Candidate lands into BPE error flow

Resolution

Ensure below permissions are present

  1. Go to provisioning and enable “Instance Synchronization”.
  2. Add an additional permission to the role you assign to the BPE User :
    Manage Instance Synchronization   -  Sync MDF Picklists

To Fix for the affected user follow below

1.Purge user.

2.Update process flow

3.Restart activity from BPE tile
