2983544 - BPE ERROR : USER ALREADY EXISTS user_sys_id in Onboarding

• A BPE error appears in the To-Do tile when saving HRIS data for the user, showing: USER ALREADY EXISTS user_sys_id: XYZ for the entity: JOB_INFO.
• I can’t re‑initiate onboarding for a candidate because the system says an existing user already exists and blocks the restart.
• When I try to save HRIS data during onboarding, I get a BPE error (e.g., “USER ALREADY EXISTS”/JOB_INFO), often caused by duplicate identifiers like user ID, username, or email, which prevents me from completing hiring.
• Rehire candidates or cases with the same start date trigger duplicate‑record conflicts (BPE errors), stopping the onboarding process.
• Duplicate or leftover onboarding records keep causing BPE errors when I save HRIS data, and even after I purge duplicates, the error persists.
